I'm currently away on holiday and i have all my bloods under control during the day, when i comes to night i am taking my lantus (long lasting) insulin and my bloods are still rising in the night, i have upped my dose and its still happening :( any ideas ?
 
Are you eating meals that are high in fat or protein whilst away from home, both can have an effect on bg levels for several hours after, but other than that you basically just do what you'd do at home when you have high bg levels at night (but do be careful if your drinking alcohol).
 
I find I run high when it's hot so I look to make myself comfortable with a fan/AC/iced water - not sure if it's warmer than you're used to?
