Hi there :)

I'm going away to Tenerife in 2 weeks and I was wondering about Diabetes and Flying. My departure flight is around the time I would normally inject so I was thinking about delaying it a little and doing it as soon as I land. I still don't feel confident doing it in front of people and don't really want to head into the toilets to do it as it is such a small space. Any tips and advice would be appreciated.

For heavens sake are you mad...you can't just decide to delay an injection!the effects it could have on you,if need be turn around so people can't see you and them inject or make sure you have a window seat and you can do it discretely.also as soon as you land people will be rushing around and there will be far more people watching than the 3 in your aisle on your plain seat. You board the plain 20mins prior to departure so at most do it when you get on the plane there will be less people but make sure you need the shot right then if not just wait and do it in your aisle seat :)

Just do the jab . I have jabbed in loads of situations and believe me no-one notices after all you will be injecting forever so just do it

I know it's hard when you don't like injecting in public places .
But I look at things differently , so what if they look so what if they don't like it , if they didn't like seeing it they shouldn't of been nosey and looked in the first place , at the end of the day your not doing it for the fun of it , your doing it because you need it , I wouldn't mess up your own routine just incase what others think .
Go for it. :)

I've been injecting in public since 1970 and since we had finger sticks doing these too. Not once has anyone ever said anything to me, mind you if they did moan they'd get an earful :-). People really don't notice being too busy with there own lives to worry about watching what everyone else is doing. My advice is "go public" not private :-)
