Holidays are comin' (and tooth decay & T2)

Keith Vaz MP has asked Coca Cola not to bring their Santa Truck to Leicester before Christmas, because of the already high levels of T2 and child dental decay to be found there. More details here.

What's your opinion? the truck is visiting Winchester this year, so I need to decide whether or not to mount a campaign of civil disobedience by publicly drinking water and chewing sticks of celery in the High Street :)

Joking aside, I think he has a point. Christmas is already the festival of over-consumption of sugar-laden foodstuffs, without a US multi-national foisting their carbonated muck on us ....

Well the truck is already followed by so many , in the virtual world .. :rolleyes:
In the real world there will be excitement already .. Little people waiting in anticipation ..
Sooo... I don't think stopping it for Christmas is going to make a big difference ..not yet anyway and not this year ...
My Christmas wish .. Is a cure for all types ..

But take some cream cheese for the celery ;) and wrap up warm if going to see the truck ..
 
This truck came to Leeds last year and me and the kids went along. There was a gospel choir singing carols and it was really festive. I wasn't diabetic at the time - but I didn't drink any coke and had a really nice festive time. And besides - I'm sure they would have the sugar free variety if u wanted it.
It's a bit early for the ole bah humbugging ;);)
 
I wish a cockburns port truck or a John smiths bitter truck would come to my front door
 
My youngest son always thought the song said "Humming Days are coming" :rolleyes:
