honey

No I wouldn't reccomend that you eat honey!

Sorry to say this but honey is not to be recommended for people with type 2 diabetes to take regularly as it will raise blood sugar in the same way that table sugar will.
 
It all depends on your overall diet and if you test - I wouldn't recommend it to anyone just using it - but for me I have found through testing and food combining that I can - occasionally as a treat - take half a teaspoonful of honey to sweeten a lowish carb dessert I make (artificial sweeteners just don't work for the recipe)- but you need to do your own tests to determine whether this is ok for you - its up to you.

At least honey does have some other nutritional benefits - a little better than table sugar :roll:
