Honey and Golden Syrup are both approximately 80% sugar, I presume most of the rest is water. Wikipedia says "Honey bees transform saccharides into honey by a process of regurgitation, a number of times, until it is partially digested. The bees do the regurgitation and digestion as a group." My children used to delight in calling honey "bee vomit"!!!
I used to have half a teenspoon of honey in my coffee,I love coffee but cant take it without a little sweet taste,I guess the small amount of honey didnt do much harm, but I now have Truvia.
