Hooray, I`ve got a cold!

I know this sounds weird but whenever I get a cold I greet it with a sigh of relief, obviously I don`t actually want a cold but by the time one arrives I have spent at least a week wondering what the hell is wrong with my bg levels as they skyrocket (8 and 9 most of this last week) so a cold is the lesser of two evils as I know they`ll soon be coming down again now. Anyone else feel this way or am I the only strange one out there?

I have fun with gout my feet seem to lose some of their feeling at first so worry until the swelling and the pain starts

Sorry to hear about the cold, @chri5 - and I know just what you mean!

The other week I had got into a spiral of bad control and was feeling uncharacteristically unstable psychologically - the relief to have then found I was actually ILL a week after I had started to feel so odd was an incredible relief as I had been getting very worried about it!
