Hope to get back on track from today.

I have slipped off track for the last 5 months. Been very naughty eating sweets and cakes and not testing at all. Was a let down after beginning very good for the first 4 months.

Today.

8-15am fasting reading 6.0
9-00am pre breakfast. 5.6
Breakfast. Poached egg, round of kingsmills 50/50 toast, 1 tablespoon of baked beans.
1hr post breakfast. 6.3
2hrs post breakfast. 5.5

Pre lunch. 4.7
Lunch. 2 rounds kingsmills 50/50 bread, grated cheese mixed with mayo, half slice of gammon ham. Small satsuma.
1hr post lunch. 5.3
2 hr post lunch. 5.1

Pre Dinner. 5.0
Dinner. Roast chicken, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pickled beetroot, gherkins. Then a small piece of Raspberry roulade and 5 strawberries.
1hr post dinner. 6.1
2hrs post dinner. 5.7

Bed time. 5.8

Will test in the morning to see what it is after fasting

I'm pleased with today's reading. And very pleased with myself for resisting temptation.

Those numbers are great. You should keep them in mind as inspiration. :)

That's what I do. I am always fighting the cravings for biscuits or cakes but have adopted a simple policy. Just don't buy any.
If I buy a packet of biscuits I won't just eat one or two. I end up eating the packet then feel guilty. Not good.

I am getting stronger each day at accepting that my relationship with food has and must remain changed.

Had toast egg beans yesterday for breakfast readings was 5.6 pre. 1hr post 6.3. 2 hrs post 5.5
Today I just had the slice of toast and readings are pre 6.1. 1hr post 8.4
It was the same sort of bread. Could it be because I have not eating much, making it go higher today.
 
I must have had withdrawal symptoms from yesterday ended up with a migraine last night and today. Lol
That could be "low carb flu". It usually goes away in a couple of days, but gets better with lots of water and salt/minerals - maybe a mug or two of soup/broth/Bovril.
