Just looking for a night time drink that isn't coffee. Has anybody used Horlix Lite without too much of an impact on BS the next morning.

Nope. Horlicks is shockingly high in carbohydrates, even the "Lite" version.

Shame -'cos I bl**dy loved Horlicks!

Am thinking of trying cocoa, the old fashioned way. i.e with hot water and cream. Anyone else tried this?

I used to love a mug of Horlicks but now avoid because it's amazingly high in carbs!!

I have therefore tried Cocoa as an alternative, there's a couple out there that are relatively low carb, I went for the Bournville and it didn't have too much of an impact at all :-)

Thanks for the repolie, I think I'll give up on the attempt at Horlix. Started to use Weightwatchers Hot Choc, seems to be ok on the BS in the morning so I'll stick with it for now.

if u like hot chocolate ,skinny cow isnt high in sugar n u can get it in mint mmmmmm :D

Hey Totsy, as with most things I have to watch the carbs and skinny cow has 4g ( I think). My green and black cocoa only has 0.5 plus 0.5 for the Splenda. Wish I could have the mint tho' sounds mmmmm indeed, Maybe I could just try peppermint essence :?:
