soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I am a "cook everything from scratch " woman, but I'm married to a DIFFICULT T1, who is currently off work for several wekks because of the effects of complications. In short, He's driving me nuts.
He insisted, the other day on dragging me to Waitrose. Not my favourite supermarket, I don't like their prices( 75p for a can of tomatoes!!!)
Anyway, T1 spotted a can of French onion soup and despite it's rather high carbohydrate label, decided he wanted some for lunch. He duly heated the soup snd I was given a small bowlful.
It tasted like sugar solution to me. Not at all a pleasant experience.
I asked T1 if he didn't find it too sweet.
"Maybe just a little" was the answer.

Hi Hana,
I agree with you some canned soup can be high in carbs, but I have found a wild mushroom soup at Aldi, at just 11.6g carbs for a 400g tin. Half a tin with a couple of wedges of fergus's bread and I'm happy, tastes good to.

Regards Graham

Hi Hana,
I woulnt bother with the Hovis Seed Sensation, mind you at 19.2g carbs per slice I know you won't :D :D :D

Cheers Graham

Making your own soup is really simple if you have a liquidiser or food processor and you can make them cheaply and freeze them. My mother regularly buys reduced price veg in supermarkets for soup. Both of us freeze herbs from the garden and leftover wine (from bottle not glasses) for soup.
