Horrific Eye Screening Question

Hi all!

I had my second annual diabetic eye screening about a month ago.
First one was fine (flash, flash, you’ll get a letter).
For this one there were 2 people in the room, so we suspect a trainee.

I wound up with 12 flashes in one eye and 8 in the other. By the end I had the headache from hell and had to work hard not to puke all over the place.

4 weeks later and the headache is still with me, and I am horrifically sensitive to light. Been living indoors, reading makes the headache worse, brightness down on tv etc.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Any suggestions how to get past it other wearing an eye mask 24/7?

And finally, if I can even face it next year can I refuse to allow a trainee to do it? I know everyone has to start somewhere, but I’m not going through this again!

And in case you’re wondering, all clear which I’d figured since Boots has done their screening for normal eye test a few weeks before, and were able to compare with last year’s retinopathy.

Thanks for any pointers :)

I agree with the above posting. I am because of another condition very sensitive to light most of the time so quite often I wear dark glasses when ever out of doors this helps
