Thanks , i’m thinking it wasn’t like a temperature for an infection - i dint have that kind of temp- i was just my back, legs etc were so hot to touch and feel that it woke meHi @Lincom - welcome to the forum.
There are lots of reasons that your body temperature can rise, during the night or not; and these are often connected to blood glucose, but having nothing to do directly with diabetes per se.
For example, if you have a cold - your body will demand energy to fight off the infection - this will raise your temperature and blood glucose level. Stress can have a similar response.
Returning to normal is a good sign though...
Sleep generally of course is connected to both stress and blood glucose control, so generally you want a good amount of good quality sleep, if you can.
Hi thanks , i wasn’t sweating at all just so hot my bed sheets were very hot too from me . i’m going to put it down to diabetes it’s just my bs was 8.2 i wouldn’t have thought that would have caused that to happen . i did have some digestive biscuits quite late in about an hour before bedHi
I've not experienced this - heavy sweating, yes, but that isn't to do with body temperature.
I'm not sure I've seen anyone reporting high temperature being caused by high BG - it's usually the other way round. An infection of some sort, which is accompanied by a high temperature, is one of the many things that will often lead to a raised blood glucose. Basically your liver is producing more glucose to help your system fight whatever is going on.
Many things other than food can have an impact on BG - this link has a list of 42 which is by no means exclusive.

Of course, not everything we experience is to do with diabetes and it's possible that something else entirely is happening.
Thankyou - yes i will see how it goes as that was the first time that’s happened .I hear what you're saying, and recognising that we cannot diagnose anything..
It's still likely to be the cart before the horse - any localised "very hot to the touch" sensation is a form of inflammation - I used the cold as the most common example, but muscle pain, bruising, cramping - these are all types of inflammation, and the body needs energy to help deal with it - so, as @KennyA says, your liver is instructed to provide more glucose.
You may want to consult your GP for any other source causes in the areas you mention though...
Thanks - i’m going to finish eating by 7.30 tonight which will be 3,hours before bed .Just read your last - We are all different of course, and your personal goals and beliefs are the most important factor, but I've found (even after getting blood levels on average much lower) - that giving my body about three hours of clear time to finish digesting before bed (and I was such a fan of late night snacks - you wouldn't believe it...) makes for a much better night sleep. It isn't hard to figure why - even a few digestives is just a load of sugar that your liver needs to spur on the pancreas into making insulin and then packing away all that glucose.. or turn it into fat to store elsewhere - I'm still not saying that this is definitely the cause of the local temperature - but for sure I find my body is just so much more relaxed not having to deal with any food near to bedtime.
The biscuits might well have given you the raised BG, depends on how long elapsed between you eating and when you eventually tested. As I said above, I don't recall anyone on here having high temperatures "because of" any form of diabetes.Hi thanks , i wasn’t sweating at all just so hot my bed sheets were very hot too from me . i’m going to put it down to diabetes it’s just my bs was 8.2 i wouldn’t have thought that would have caused that to happen . i did have some digestive biscuits quite late in about an hour before bed
