I so understand. When we have multiple health issues, sorting out diet, supplements, and medications takes on a level of complexity that feels overwhelming at times. For me it's been two steps forward, one step back consistently, but I am making progress. I continue to read about the other diets, but I just can't figure out how to make them work for me because I'm so carbohydrate intolerant. So for now at least, I'm sticking with the LCHF diet and adding lots of vegetables. Thankfully, I don't have a problem with kidney stones, [knock on wood]. I keep reading in various places that becoming dehydrated on the LCHF diet can result in unwanted affects. Maybe I should start a list. Scares me a little. Thankfully, my husband is constantly on me to stay hydrated. Married a good man. As for lemon, I do not like lemon water, but I do like lemonade, which I've always made with lemons, sugar, and water. This summer I might experiment with making lemonade with Stevia instead of sugar. Yum. :)
