Everything else apart from the bit about growth spurts still applies.
The other thing to consider is in a sense more radical: Read the book or e-book Dr Bernstein's Diabetes Solution.
Please keep an open mind and see if this is a way forward. Ask questions and those for and against low carb can let you know their views.
His book has changed a number of T1Ds lives in term of control, less hypers and hypos - but I have no idea whether Toujeo is an insulin that such people have stayed on..
Given is jaded rep on posts and forums etc I would doubt it - but that is only an impression.

It coud be brittle diabetes - see https://www.diabetes.co.uk/brittle-diabetes.html. It's unusual, but you mention stress and anxiety which can contribute to brittle diabetes, and that this has been going on for three years...just a thought...
