How did YOU come up with your username?

 
I'm Mart, I'm from Wolves - Ta Da.
 
All my life I have been a 'Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy' nut I mean i have lots of stuff, Radio shows, TV Series, Movie (it wasn't good) complete set of hardback books. My favorite character is Zaphod Beeblebrox. My ex started calling me Zaph and it sort of stuck. I dont mind though she could have called me a lot worse lol. 37 is just a random number.

Had netty nickname for years my uncle used to sing a rhyme to me as a child and make me cry lol and 70 is my year born Ta-da

This might sound a bit odd but way back in 1984 I had Acute Meiloid Leukaemia and was "lucky" enough to have a successfull bone marrow transplant. The nickname/screen-name started as Leukae-Mick whilst looking for an E-Mail addy and ended as Lukkymik (as that, I thought, was a little more subtle) and has stuck at that ever since. And with a name like Michael Rowe I certainly didnt want anything connected with Rowing Boats!!!!!!

My username is due to my fave character as a child...Rainbow Brite!! I also think it would have been nice to have been born in a colourful world full of glitter dust and unicorns... hahaha

When I set up my email addy many years ago I didn't want my name followed by random numbers so I chose Damon (greatest f1 driver of all time) and frog (fave creature) and funny no one else had the email damonfrog!!! xxx

Since time out of mind my favoirite animal has been the black panther but would have had to add numbers and I was pretty much guaranteed to forget them! Came across a thundercat pic whilst looking at screensavers and liked the sound of it.

Speaking of thundercats, I just saw someone on my bus with a Mumm-Ra t-shirt from thundercats. Takes me back to my childhood.

Did you ever see the cartoon?

It was very similar to He-Man and around the same kind of time, but He-Man was first. Both then went on to franchise toys through Mattel along with Transformers. That was probably why they were made in the first place. It's a very lucrative business and kids around the world drove their poor beleaguered parents into submission and/or despair. I remember having a transformers robot that was much more expensive than the originals, but it was a different brand. I wasn't happy, as I wrote down all the catelogue numbers down and prioritised them. I was an ungrateful sod at times and have since apologised to mom and dad.
 
Totally boring ... I've had so many user names that I couldn't be bothered thinking up yet another 'new and improved one' ... so I just chose my first name (which isn't my birth name because I hate it, but that's another story) and added the first letter of my surname. Bingo!

I did watch the cartoon but only after discovering the name! I quite enjoyed it but I don't think I'm their target audience. I'm way too old for a lunchbox:smile:
