Hello Friends,
I tried a second time today, to join the low carb program, so I can find out more about it.
I get an error message saying my email address is already in use! Well what do they want? It's the only one I've got and I don't do smart phones.
Anyways, I had my last diabetic check-up at end of March. So I see my GP for the results, and I was amazed, as they came back really good! My cholesterol level dropped from 6.1 to 3.9!! I can only explain that I've begun walking since 2nd January 2017, and I'm on a facebook group called #walk1000miles. But since then, I've had 4 viruses, including 2 chest infections. This month of April has been my most satisfying, as to date I've achieved 34 miles and only missed 5 days walking.
I have prostate cancer, finishing radiotherapy treatment 13 months ago. I also have heart disease. Every 3 months, I have a hormone therapy injection, which has side effects. All this means that I am not fit and I had to retire from work, which was only part-time. So at present, I can only do short walks up to one and half miles at a time. So even with the small amount of walking that I've been doing seems to be helping my diabetes.
So if I can't join the low carb program, I'll just have to do without it.
