Christmas shopping that is? Yes, I know, the dreaded C word but it's fast approaching.

I do the majority of mine online and get the remainder in local shops or one of the major towns nearby. I can't stand all the pushing, shoving and queues as it gets nearer. I've been known to walk in a store and straight back out again if I can't get to where I want to look!

Thank God for Amazon and other retailers that offer online delivery or click and collect in store :)

I couldn't agree more. I hate shopping at the best of times but even more at this time of the year.

I think my other half is quite fortunate really as I'm not a shopaholic. I like to get in, grab what I want and get out again (if it's not online of course).

He on the other hand just dawdles. A weekly shop in Aldi and I manage to "lose" him in the special buys aisles when all I want to do is do the food shop pronto.

And they say it's the women that drive men mad with their shopping habits

I usually make sure to have mine done by November 1st to avoid Christmas shopping crowds, however for the last two years my favorite clothing store has been sending me coupons for 50% off the last price marked, good for purchases in December. I have been buying extra presents for a few people (and myself) then. I used to knit a sweater for my mother or sister, one or the other, every year but both have enough sweaters to last about a lifetime now and I have been too busy to knit for a few years now. Some of my family belong to a religious order that does not give presents at Christmas or birthdays. It cuts down on the shopping for me.

^^Jahovas witniss?

I had them knock on my door a few days back. Man they are hard to get rid of..

I pop down to the local garage on Christmas Eve. Bunch of carnations and a box of Milk Tray and the job's a good 'un :D

Mist ...... lol best way to get rid of them say can the please hurry up as you have to donate blood in ten mins (it's against the religious beliefs) Or please come in and pray for me as they can only pray in set places your home is not one

I like your style ;)

I start in August and do a combination of both online and physical shopping. I like to go off without hubby and find silly things for the kids stockings. Even though my own 2 daughters are 27 and 23 they have to have a stocking.

And then quite evilly I go to the late night shopping centres in last week of December (by then I've finished) and watch all the headless chickens trying to find gifts in shops where it takes an hour to get through the tills.

And I also get the less than enviable task of wrapping all the items up as I'm the one who insists such and such would really like this.

Worst gift of all to wrap was a Dr Who cyberman talking helmet

It was a whole gang of them! They patrol my street and are relentless! Doesn't help that I live a stones throw away from one of their HQ's
Do you know that you can contact Kingdom Hall and ask for your address to be removed from their lists?

Ok, I had to google "Kingdom Hall" because I didn't know what it was. That's interesting, i might just do that, they will probably scould me and tell me how I'm making baby Jesus cry..:p

Thanks for the tip ellagy..;)
