I'm still trying to get my head around these low carb and stuff but this is what my plan is for today.

Is it ok?

2 slices of whole wheat bread. Each slice has 10 carbs. On top 60% full fat french cheese with a tomato.
Snack_ Bowel of greek yohgurt and a baby bel.

2 Egg omelette with tomato and onions.

Dinner: Chicken breast with lots of green veggies.

Snack: 1 mandarin.

How does that sound folks?

Hello
As a low carber I would not include the slices of bread. I would also replace the mandarin with some nuts (almonds or macadamia) Watch the yohgart as carb values do vary a lot. Lidl does a great Greek style one that is delish! What are you drinking? Hopefully lots of water. Otherwise looks low carb.

I got the yoghurt in Lidl. I have never tried it before and am trying to think what to add to it. I am trying to keep too between 50 and 75 grs of carbs and have nothing to replace the bread today

Why not add berries or stewed rhubarb? Good low carb options. If you have a sweet tooth try adding a few drops of liquid hermasetas (sp?) and stir in. Have a look in the low carb recipe section for some low carb bread replacements.

Sinead

It is a better idea to put it in the end where the teeth are ..........or did you mean bowl.

As someone said above, try to find a way of living without bread.

Thanks so much. Was just at the shop and they had no berries. It's hard to get them here in Germany. Thanks for all the advice :-)

I meant a bowl LOL. I will have to eat the bread today but it is still only 20 grs of carbs. I feel bad now but have not a lot of money this week either.

I understand if you have already bought it.

One tip for keeping the spike down would be to have one slice at a meal and the other slice at the next meal.

Don't start beating yourself up about this. It will be a while before you know what you can eat and when. Don't expect it all to happen on the first day.

Ok that is breakfast down the hatch and I feel full and content and don't feel like I have missed out. I will go to the shops tomorrow and buy some breakfast bacon and eat that with eggs for breakfast and get some salad to have for lunch.

Is Tuna fish OK?

Hello again
Tuna is excellent as are all fish and meats. If you are cutting back on one food group (carbs) you will find that the other 2 groups ( fat and protein) figure more in your diet. Tuna = protein. I always have a tin or 2 in my cupboard for back up along with mayo to mix with. Very satisfying.
