How long did it take to get a pump after diagnosis?

Hi @laura49 usually your son having hypos either means he's having to much insulin or because he's in the honeymoon period were the pancreas starts sporting out tiny bits of insulin but it's normal I'm from Leicester and I was diagnosed in November and my hospital said I might not get a pump till after summer however they did say they have a longer training process so it is most likely that your son will get one quicker and also considering your sons circumstances he will get one a lot sooner as the hospital will want your son eating and to be healthy and its there only option but I do suggest to ask and push a bit for a pump and talk more about it and just ask for a pump because it's best for your son as he's not eating if you don't ask you don't get

I was diagnosed in January and I'm getting a pump in a couple of weeks. I think it depends on the person, so don't try and compare.
