Type 2 How long does temptation last?

But is there a physiological reason why this may be?
Really interesting question, yes there is research and evidence from MRI scans of the brain showing the effect of sugar/carbs on the brain. I'm not sure cravings are the same as addiction but it is the same chemicals that provide feelings of pleasure and reward often going hand in hand with escalation eg the whole packet rather than just one.

I couldn't find the information I read about the effect of chocolate on the brain but found the following articles with links to research.
