Hi there,
I have noticed that my blood sugar control has not been very good lately, which I think I due to my good habits slipping. My question is, once you have got back on the straight and narrow, how long can it take to see improvement in blood sugar? I just went for an hour long walk after a lunch of soup and my sugar was still 6.4 on my return.

Thank you in advance.

There are many other benefits to be gained from taking a 60min walk that can't be measured. Beneficial to mind, cardio-vascular system, release of endorphins etc. BG of 6.4 after a meal is pretty good. I think you're being a little hard on yourself.

I don't think 6.4 sounds to bad an hour after lunch and a walk I don't know what others would think though

Thank you that is most reassuring for you to say, I will not worry too much............

Feel a bit silly now!

Simply Awesome :) I'm sure you will see your numbers right where you want them in no time :)

Tweety don't feel silly at least u asked instead of worrying yourself. I love walking :-) As said above 6.4 1hr after eating is excellent. I bet ur glad to be back in control.

Thank you both. Yes, I love walking, it helps me feel better. Walked to doctors for review so done some today
Feel a lot better today. Nurse has reassured me I am doing fine. However, I have gained a stone since my last review - how did I not notice that?:couchpotato:
Well, I know what I've got to do and I know it works. No sweet treats since yesterday..........Salmon salad for lunch:)
Thank you for your support, it has really helped.
