How long can you have type 1 before being diagnosed? Is it a case it comes on overnight or can symptoms be missed for months? Tia

Hi @ber15 .

We've had discussions about this before, my endo' swears it only develops over months, and when I pointed out to him that my records show that my blood sugars had been higher than normal for at least 3 years he just replied "yes they were a bit high weren't they".

We're all different, I don't think there's a definitive answer to your question.

Thanks for your reply, iv asked doctor's plenty of times how long could I have it and I have not got a straight answer :-S
