how low BG ?

Looking at Jess' diary she averages on one (sometimes two) hypos a week. They are usually first reading of the morning or after exercise. They are not severe hypos either, all in the higher 3s. The lowest one she's had recently was 2.7 back in early November.

Hi, My little boy who is 5 probably has between 2 - 3 hypos a week, although these will be very mild - readings of 3.8/9. It is not often that he gets a reading below 3. I do find that he fluctuates much more than my daughter who is 7 who probably only gets 1 reading under 4 per week (if that), again this will only just dip slightly below 4. Leggott

Well, I am averaging 1 a day at the moment, and it is that fact that made the Dr put me forward for a pump. The reason was because it is negatively impacting my life. OK, most of them are mild, and I still have awareness, but not being 100% when you are sittuiing in a meeting etc is not good!

Like most people, I test before I drive, and sometimes have to have some glucose before getting in teh car.
The other downside of so many hypos is teh rebound...as it is not like my BG is 3.5, and then it goes up to 4.2 and I sit at 4,2 quite happily (I wish!). My BG does not rocket, but all thsi yo yoing is not good.

I guess it depends on how your little girl copes with it. If she has a snack and gets on with things, and doesnt rebound..and she is still hypo aware, no problem,. If she has to sit at the side in PE lessons while she has some glucose though...on a regular basis, might be worth tring something new?

I second teh Balance comment!
