Ooh yes tim - I have to agree there I too make an exception for pork - a piece of slow cooked belly pork that is cooked properly is unbeatable!I don't go out of my way to eat fat. I too don't like the fat on meat or bacon (although the fat on pork, done right, is gorgeous). As such I eat the saturated fats that meat comes with in the meat part, and cooking I allow the meats to cook in their own fats.
Can't say I've ever really measured it though.

Maybe we should start an Organic Cheese topic. Our farmer's market has loads of them and I think they all sell on-line.I think the omega3&6 are important too, that is why I buy organic when I can find it. Butter, cream and milk, no problem, but it is hard to find nice and affordable organic cheese. And pork.
As we keep sheep most of the meat we eat comes from the farm though.

I do get most of my fat from the good oils I have olive oil on salads have olives oily fish and I eat nutsDo you eat oily fish @AnnieC, olive oil dressings on salads, nuts, dairy?
It's the processed meats with their chemical additives that I steer clear of. Many of the substitutes for other foods too as they are like chemical cocktails. Atkins Bars have a long list of chemicals.
