Ok I am getting worried about my pump/sets etc. I had 4 failed sets last weekend, although they failed due to hitting a blood vessel etc
I changed my set yesterday lunch and sugars were spot on. Woke up this morning and felt VERY ill. BG was 12.4 but felt so, so sick - like I had no insulin at all. Did large bolus and 40 mins later BG 13 :shock:
Was feeling so unwell I just fired in new set and another huge bolus. Sugars came down but still feel rough. Pulled failed set and looks perfect - no kink or blood or anything. Animas said sometimes sites just fail for no reason.
Anyway as it's Christmas I'm nervous and thinking about my back up of injections. Thing is I don't know how to inject or manage the Insulatard. was on Levemir before, once a day, 22 units
How do I calculate how much to inject and when please?
