How much is too much medication?

Hi, I have just changed my diabetes regime to 95 units of Levemir in the evening, 30 units of fast acting insulin at each meal, 2 metformin long acting tablets and Junuvia once a day. I am still having high blood sugars and have had to take time off work when this happens. Today 22 was my morning reading, other days it's above 33 and off the scale dropping down to 9 or 10 later in the day.
The reason I am asking how much is too much is my doc tells me to keep upping my insulin until it's around 5 in the morning.
Can anyone give me some advice as I feel I am losing the battle - diabetes is controlling me not me controlling it.
Many thanks (Type 2 insulin dependant).

hi tm2445 I think whatever amount of medication is needed to stabilize a condition . I do understand where u r coming from though the "how much more meds am I gonna have to take " is very hard. have u looked at what u r eating & how active u r to see what changes can be made .
I know what u feel like about diabetes controlling u & not u controlling it .:banghead:

Thanks for the reply Elvis.. most days I inject 30 rapid units on an empty stomach (just to get me to work as sugars are 18+ and then have porridge (made with water) + 30 units rapid at lunch with a meal in the evening (usually stew/soup/meat and veg) +30 units. The only thing I don't do much of is exercise as I am permanently knackerd. I know I have to do more exercise but am just so tired. I'm off work now as my sugars are high and my co-ordination is shot. I can't carry on like this.

how long have u been diabetic r u in honeymoon phase . it's a vicious circle ur tired so can not exercise but by not doing it ur bloods r high . just a short brisk walk might help . things will get better
