How to get back on track

Probably been asked many times I feel this is more to just vent. I'm preparing to get in contact with my Diabetes team in the morning. My blood sugars have just been terrible for my usually good levels. The past six months I have struggled with it as my sugars haven't been the same ever since I developed Covid back in January, I've been suffering with long Covid and I just feel like I'm becoming exhausted from it now. My last HCA1 was 56 then pre January I was consistently under 52 . I've been in this situation years ago but I feel like I'm heading for a burn out from it. Does anyone have any tips as it's been a very long time since I've struggled this much. Thank you

What kind of insulin regime are you on? Do you have a libre? To be honest, if you've had long covid then 56 doesn't seem that bad to me...

Most of us struggle at various points so it'd be great to get a few more details re what you are doing. For example prior to getting my lovely pump/sensor I was just generally nibbling rather to many sweet/carby things which then led me into bolus stacking/hypo/high rollercoaster when off work in lockdown.
That was just me. If what you were doing was working and it isn't now so much then is it just the post viral thing or has that triggered other changes in your food/exercise habits for example?

Well, as you know, there are still many unknowns about long covid, especially when it comes to affecting other conditions like Type 1. At the very least, it’s adding to your daily burden. I’m not sure, based on your numbers, that your diabetes doc is best qualified to help you with any possible burnout. But he should be able to recommend someone. Best thing obviously would be for the long covid to just go away, which apparently is what happens sometimes.
