I'm a type 2 diabetic patient in my 60s. I take insulin and medicine as well. I exercise daily and have a healthy diet as well. However, Sometimes when my sugar level goes down to 40-50 mg/dL or below, I immediately take sweets or sugary items and it rises gradually. And in some cases, after having a meal it rises to 300-400mg/dL. What should I do to get the levels to normal range immediately?

I think exercise is the only good remedy .

Hi @wajahatmand and welcome to the forums.

Your profile says you are on insulin? What type of insulin are you taking and when are you taking it? As a T1 with no insulin of my own I am on a basal/bolus regime which means I take bolus (fast acting) insulin before meals and can give correction doses when I'm too high.

But as a T2 your insulin regime may well be different and this won't be applicable.

And even an extra dose of insulin takes some time to bring my levels down. It isn't immediate.
