Hi all I have bad tendon aches in shoulder blades, arms to elbow tendons, top and bottom both sides, aches which often run deep. It was thought that I had fibromyalgia so have been treated with gabapentin and amitriptyline for a few years. I've also got a finger on each hand that won't bend ( with lumps in palm) so it's quite disabling and some days I get quite down with it. Diabetes consultant just said to see GP, presumably for another prescription, yet I wanted to discuss it more. GP has referred me to 2 separate clinics, both with several months waiting list. As my ailments are Diabetes related, wouldn't it be nice to be treated as a whole?
Anyway the point of this is, I suspect I'm going to be fobbed off with yet more painkillers in the end as no one in the NHS seems to be taking interest or responsibility for anything. (My ophthalmologist appointments have been cancelled repeatedly for the past 16 months. There doesn't appear to be any cohesion of services at all).
Anyway, If you have tendinopathy, how are you managed or do you just put up with? I'm just interested in seeing what everyone else does, in case I can get a little relief

In hope
Jo
