How to propose to girlfriend on her birthday ?

Hello all I need proposal ideas I want to propose to my girlfriend on her birthday . We have a long relationship at four year old that I would love to include in the proposal. Were going to see her family on birthday night. Any ideas?

You could put the proposal inside her birthdat card and hand her the card. I have to admit I don't remember my husband's proposal, about 45 years ago, but I do remember a couple of others which I didn't accept

Hi what a lovely thing to do, I hope you will both be very happy :D

There are a few 4's, four, for, fore. Have you thought of a poem/verse, or getting one of those childrens party donkey ( the one that you have to bash and lots of goodies spill ou) is it a Pinnatta? :? and something like a card or a soft toy with :-This is FOR you. Name.....we have been together four years.............. or a large hellium balloon and then get it to burst and a ring falls out???

I proposed on the launch at Coniston Water, during a party weekend, so were surounded by friends who took the excuse to ceelebrate big style.( Chief bridesmaid took a run at me,and I tried to lift her, and it was a toss-up whether the co-efficien of friction was enough for her to land in the tree, or just her party frock, luckily bridesmaid and dress stayed joined :lol: :lol: )
 
You know what, you know your girlfriend better than anyone. You know what she will like. I also don't think it matters how you do it; she'll love whatever you do.

When my boyfriend proposed is was quite simple. We met in Edinburgh and, on our anniversary, we decided to go back there. He took me to the castle where you get lovely views of the city and pulled a ring from the pocket. He'd picked the diamond himself and had it placed into a ring that he thought I would like. For me, that was the nicest part. He'd put so much thought into the ring and got me something that I absolutely loved.

As I said above, you know what sort if things she likes, whether she's want an else irate proposal or whether something simple would be more in keeping with her tastes. I am sure that she'll love whatever you do :)

Hmm, four year relationship........four envelopes with or without cards, three containing a small but "thoughtful" gift wrapped in beautiful coloured tissue paper or fabric. Actually, you can purchase small flat felt/cloth engagement ring holders, either with stud clasp or pull string closures from jewellery shops, so they would also be ideal for the other three small gifts.
Place the engagement ring in the fourth envelope. (obviously lol)

Hold them fan shaped in your hands, ask her to individually choose and open one envelope until she opens the one containing your real surprise.

If she happens to choose the envelope containing the engagement ring first, it won't really matter as the other envelopes contain small gifts for her. You'd need to be ready to kneel when she opens and discovers THE envelope. :D

Anyway bullden, whatever you eventually decide to do, I wish you all the happiness in the world, and as the others have mentioned, be sure to let us know the eventual outcome.

Say it in a crop circle or a plane with a banner ( the latter is suprisingly cheap):-)

Make her a nice bacon and eggy butty with plenty of tomato sauce on it and embed the ring in the bread. I'd say yes to that without hesitation! :lol:

That's definitely what I would have loved ... but didn't get.
Got a romantic proposal on the Plage Napoleon in the South of France. Sitting in the car which we had driven onto the beach. Trouble was it was too soon and I wasn't really sure yet. We had only known each other a month :shock: So I didn't say yes until later.
 
But what about the ring and other gift? I think it should be something special
 
Given that this was posted over four years ago, I think he's probably popped the question by now, if he ever intended to.

However, as his post contained a link to a commercial site I suspect the main item on the wedding breakfast menu was spam :)
