How to qualify for libre?

I am a very unstable diabetic who hates testing but when I used to be able to fund these everything worked amazingly! Do you know how to get these funded? Will be seeing my specialist in late January and want to go in with as much information as possible.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about the Libre system mainly from the healthcare professionals, there are the NICE guidelines but many many different stories, so I hope you are successful and or lucky but keep us all updated, I personally think we are all in line for a long struggle. Happy new year.

In my area it seemed to work by presenting your case in the right way. I'm not going to repeat it all again here but if you search the forum you should find it.

LEt's just be clear here. There are not NICE guidelines for the Libre, only for CGM.

Likewise, there is not countrywide guidance for adoption of Libre.

At the moment it's dependent on whether your local CCG or group of CCGs has decided whether it will supply Libre, and what criteria it will use to do so. For example, London CCGs are not yet providing it as they are collectively deciding what approach they will take. Meanwhile, a couple in the North East have produced guidance as to who qualifies.

So the first thing you need to do is find out whether it is available in your area.
