how to safely consume small bit of alcohol?

i dont normally drink alcohol
but will be getting a painful procedure
done soon and dont expect to be given any
helpful sufficient pain meds so will be using
a bit of alcohol for pain

how can i safely do this?
( im aware of the hypos it may cause)

i use lantus and rapid (when necessary)
and eat vlc

i will be but they are never sufficient
in my experience
and i wont be able to eat with
alot of pain which then leads to
hypos

Talk to your doctor/surgeon about stronger pain medication.

Not sure what the rules are in Canada but I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to operate on a drunk patient unless it's life threatening.

Alcohol won’t take pain away. You need to tell the people looking after you if your analgesia is not dealing with your pain
