Hi, I'm a man and new to the Pump (medtronic) and i'm wondering what advice men have for ways to wear it. i find the clip on the belt look to be uncomfortable - i hate all that tubing sitting outside. i've tried my jeans pocket which is okay. i have a leg thing that you can wear it around the thigh which i like but is difficult to access when wearing pants. i've ordered a spibelt and will see how that goes. does anyone wear the pump around the chest? the ankle? just looking for options. i'm quite active; ride my bicycle to work; would prefer things not on my stomach. thanks!

I just put the pump in my pocket as dont use or like belts. A mobile phone case is great for keeping the pump in.
Tubing, no idea why you have it hanging outside, just tuck it under your shirt or pants/jeans. If you have a longer length of tubing then loop it like a water hose and tape it then it's out of the way. Problem solved

Hi

Something that might help you cycle to work all ok is to use a cycling top with the 3 pockets at the back and carefully cut a small hole in one of the inside pockets of the top and stitch a piece of velcro on the inside top of the pocket with the hole to stop the pump from coming out. All you would have to do then is thread the tube from the pump through the hole in the pocket to the infusion set in your tummy or wherever else you have the set. You could use clear nail varnish to go around the hole to stop it from fraying.....

For each pair of trousers and jeans, I make a small hole at the top of my pockets and feed the tube through to the cannula. This way no tubing is exposed and remains comfortable to wear. Hope this helps.. good luck

I have been using www.pumpwearinc.com for years for my daughter, they have these really cool "pump bands" soft spandex with a built in pocket for your pump. My daughter loves them. They also have an adult section with all kinds of clothing and ways to wear the pump, from what you are describing i would suggest you try one of their pump bands, i think you will love it. They actually have like over 800 products so you should be able to see all the different ways, check out their video's they have some great product ones, but they do these things called Diabetes Tidbits that I love they are tips for people wearing the pump really cute. :D
