another question
I only have to test once a day and that's bad enough.
I have it seems fairly thick skin. The needle setting I use is 1 other wise I can't draw blood. The question is does it get any easier or do you just get used to the issue? I hate needles at the best of times. Is there better places to puncture your self? I find my pinky finger the easiest but it's getting fed up with being singled out!

Try going off to the side of the finger between the nail and the first knuckle. Just be careful not to get too close to the nail.

Adjust the pricker to the right depth. Often people have it too low and then it doesn't pierce the skin properly. That's actually more painful than having it on a slightly higher setting.

Having warm hands helps the blood flow well. Use the sides of your fingers and swap fingers/sides each time you test.

Isn't 1 the shallowest ? It is on mine

I do the same as @chalup mentioned. I alternate between 4 fingers usually.... mainly my middle and ring fingers on both hands. I leave my little finger and index fingers alone. It's not a good idea to stick with one finger as it needs time to heal too.
