Every morning my sugar levels are really high between 17 and 22 on the glucose monitor, not sure how long it's been like this but as I'd been under the weather thought I'd check,I eat unprocessed foor mostly meat and salad with a small portion if carbs ,what's happening and should I be concerned

Hi HEP and welcome to the forums.

One of the rules on here is that nobody can or should attempt to diagnose. You don't say whether you have a diagnosis already, or whether you're on any medication. The glucose levels you're reporting, if they're accurate, would concern me if i had them and I'd urge you to speak to your, or a, medical practitioner. I don't know where you are, but if you're in the UK I'd call 111 asap.

Welcome @HEP
It's really difficult if not impossible to give you any meaningful advice without knowing what type of diabetes you have been diagnosed with, if any, and how your diabetes is being treated, and what medication you take, it's also useful to know what your latest Hba1c was.
But for now with what little information you have given the only suggestion I can make is to go see your Dr.
