Humulin injection sites

Hey!

I'm on Humulin NPH, twice a day. When I was diagnosed I was told it can only be injected into my arm or stomach, not my legs.
Is this correct? I feel like I'm running out of space to inject without getting too close to previous injection sites.

Any help would be really appreciated!

I take Novorapid and Levemir, not Humulin - however, I've never heard of not being able to inject into the leg - perhaps someone else who uses Humulin might have a better input; however, I wonder if you discussed your activity levels when you were diagnosed? If you inject into any part of the body that you exercise, that can speed up the action of the insulin - so if you regularly run/jog etc, perhaps that's why you've been told to avoid the legs? As I say, hopefully someone else might know more about this!

Thank you for replying! I just can't decide, there's conflicting advice everywhere.

No problem at all, sorry I can't give you a definitive answer - there must have been a reason you were told not to inject into your legs - couldn't do any harm to ask your doctor why this is!
 
Hi just read ur post I'm on novorapid and solorstar and I inject anywhere just double check cause can't see why u can't .
