Hi. I'm currently on Humulin M3 insulin and my DSN is thinking of moving me on to Novomix as my BMs are not lowering as fast as I would like. Has anyone been on Novomix and could they tell me how it works ?

Many thanks
Edward.

Hello Edward.

I've taken NovoMix 30 Penfill a few times. I am usually on NovoRapid but I live in Asia and occasionally NovoRapid is out of stock.

NovoMix 30 has a basal and fast acting component. It's packaging is blue.

With the vials you need to place one in the palm of your hand and gently place your other hand on top and roll until the mixture is cloudy. There's a small ball inside the vial. I've never used the FlexPens so cannot advise on those.

For me NovoMix didn't reduce as NovoRapid does but helped me still manage until I got back to NovoRapid.
