Hope everyone is ok after that horrendous storm.We had a torrential downpour yesterday and also 2 lots today.Think its passed us by now it seems to have calmed down.
 
I'm in Nottinghamshire, east midlands and its been raining HEAVY in the hours 10am-3pm then a bit of sun - now very windy.

had a storm just after 1pm, rain all morning but sunny and windy now
 
I live in Wolverhampton, we had torrential rain this morning, then sunshine and now it is really windy. Hope it goes away soon. :(
 
I have dreadful memories of Hurricane Earl in 2010.

Not recorded by us,but Earl was at his strongest about 2am, so this video is a long way off it. I can't find it, but there us a video on YouTube somewhere which shows a group of 3 flag poles, and not all of the flags are flapping in the same direction. Think about it.

A couple of decent rain showers today and it was a bit blowy this afternoon. The rain was nothing compared to last Saturday though when we eventually had around four inches on our patio. Thankfully the conservatory stayed dry, with the exception of a small leak where it joins the house, and the drainage we put in when the patio was built meant that the water drained away in less than twelve hours.
 
Very heavy rain and high wind in south Devon overnight, but dry and fresh for the rest of the day today.

Best wishes to all who might be caught up in it in NE Scotland (and anywhere else) tonight.
 
Here in the Northwest Lancashire it has been quite windy but very WET
Torrential shower bursts and downpours since 2pm today and yet
still happening !
 
I live on the East Coast of Scotland and it's been pouring with rain since about 5pm last night.
A little windy but nothing compared to some of the Winter storms we've had in recent years.
 
Well theres still a good 6 weeks before summer is done with.Would be nice to get back to some nice weather.Preferably not too hot though lol.
 
Had some very sudden downpours in Coventry yesterday. Was very windy and chilly out too :( still a bit of a gust this morning but nothing too major.

Completely off track here, but for some reason, I thought you were in Switzerland, Giverny. Where did I get that from?
 
I don't get why it is being calked 'ex hurricane Bertha'.

Is it divorced from another hurricane or tornado or something?

It's essentially just a hurricane that has degraded in strength and is no longer in the hurricane category :)
