hypers - what to do

I have been feeling sick for some time and this is being investigated by the doctor. at the moment I have been advised to stop taking my liraglutide injection and glicazide to see if this helps.

I have been doing this for 4 days. This morning my fasting reading was 14.6 and is now 19.2. I am feeling faint, dizzy and sick. I know what to do if I have a hypo (which I haven't had for years) but don't know what to do for what I think is a hyper. Any advice?

The first thing I would do is to check for ketones, if you don't have strips/sticks go to local A&E just to be on the safe side.

Yes, check for ketones, have plenty of water and reduce your carb intake. It sounds like you do need your diabetes medication so do discuss options with the doc. I think you need to try to determine whether the current meds are the problem or something else. May be insulin for s short time is one option as insulin rarely has side effects (other than hypos of course if too much)
