Hi all - been type 1 nearly 44 years and am also epileptic and newly coeliac. As of today I’ve suffered an odd phenomena I’ve never had before. I’ve had my usual ratios/doses at the exact same times and have a Libre to check everything. I’ve been hypo all day, more so after having the Levimir which is split into a morning and tea time dose. By the time I got to work after having a 25 carb breakfast, a bolus if 4 ( have dawn phenomena) and basal of 20 I’d had 3 biscuits, half a packet of glucose, 4 sugars in a coffee and 2 bananas. Still it hovered around 4 all day? It’s just done the same after my tea time dose. Am exhausted and worried as my husband works nights. Any clues?

First question, have you checked the libre results against a conventional glucometer? It can be very inaccurate.... (eg after becoming allergic to it, it under reads for me by anything between 2 and 6 mmol/L. Needless to say, I'm no longer a user, but other people can also get off results either because of a faulty sensor or because they've been lying on the sensor or various other reasons....)
Good luck.

Thanks. I did feel low but admit I only checked my bloods when I had my lunch bolus. I’ll do that now. Never known the arrow point down straight after eating before?

Don't forget to check your libre 15 minutes after doing the blood test, as it typically lags behind by that amount.

Have a tendency to over do it with the Libre in a panic. Wouldn’t do it so frantically with a blood test.
