Hypo or not?

False, patronising people who assume they know everything about me!
I felt a hypo early this morning...BM was 4.8. Just felt the same and my BM is 4.5. Not sure if it really is a hypo...4 glucose tabs, but seem to be slow acting today....

Firstly a couple of questions are you on any medication for your diabetes? What are numbers usually like?

Usually anything under 4 is considered a hypo, I sit very happily at those numbers for the majority of the day. If your numbers have been running a bit high you could be having what are known as false hypos, this happens as your body is getting used to lower numbers. It does feel horrible but as it’s not really a hypo it may be best to try and ride it out rather than treat them, of course if you do drop below the 4 because you are on medication that can cause hypos then that’s the time to treat.

Another reason you could be feeling awful may not be anything to do with your diabetes, do you think you could be coming down with something?
