Late yesterday afternoon i had a treat of a couple of handfulls of potato chips, tested 2 hours later and got a reading of 8.5, not to bad i thought, then ate dinner of homemade meatballs (just garlic, onion and a squirt of tomato sauce) broccoli, pumpkin, cauliflower, no carbs (potato etc) and tested 2 hours later and got a reading of 4.5. I freaked out and ate a chocolate biscuit as i thought i was going way to low....but was i? i felt fine, diabetes New Zealand website said that i should be between 4 and 8...but isnt 4.5 getting low?

does anyone else get lowish readings and freak out?

a hypo is below 4
it says on your profile that you are type 2 and diet controlled so 4.5 is fine.
however if you experience any symptoms of a hypo test and if its below 4 then have some fast acting carbs like glucotabs.
in the greeting section read the thread at the top of the forum about hypos.
