Hypo

Anything under 4 mmol/l (if you are on blood glucose lowering meds, like insulin or gliclazide)

Have you got anything with quick release carbs in it, like jelly babies, or orange juice, or glucose tablets, or even a swig of milk?

That will bring your blood glucose back up. You don't need to eat/drink huge amounts. Just have a snack, wait a few mins, and test again.

If you aren't on meds, then 3.4 shouldn't be an issue, although you may feel hungry and want a snack anyway! :)

I'm on gliclazide 80mg in morning and 80mg in evening just had a load of jelly babies what a sugar hit

That sounds like quite high Gliclaizide. I'm on 40 once a day plus Metformin. You can see why On Gliclazide you need to test so often especially before driving.

I take the same amount of gliclazide as you. Everyone is different, but my body lets me know when i'm getting low, Usually at 3.8 i'll start to get a bit of a tingling sensation in my right hand, 3.5 ish my vision seems changes. I haven't had a full on hypo for a good few years, it's not a pleasant experience.

Do you get any indication when your levels go that low?
