Hypoband?

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on the Hypoband devices available which claim to alert you to nighttime hypos? My 10yr old has nearly 5 nighttime hypos a week & never wakes or realises he is low. We have tweaked his insulin levels & tried everything but even his consultant is bewildered by why it is happening. At present my husband & I take turns monitoring him throughout the night but just wondered how effective these devices are before we spend the money? Thanks in advance for any help!!

I have one and both my brother and sister have as well. It doesnt seem to work for me much now as I dont change temperature much during the night.

It has been a godsend for my sister as she suffers bad hypos during the night and there is just her and her two children in the house

I'd expect that having a child that has bad hypos overnight would be a set of circumstances in which the hospital would be able to get you funded CGM.

It would be worth discussing with your consultant.
