Hypoglycemia event?

I have been a type 2 diabetic for three or four years probably as a result of being overweight and not taking enough exercise. Recently I have had a number of what I will refer to as, "Hypoglycaemia Events" if only because I'm not sure what I should refer to them as.
I suddenly start to feel insecure, a trifle wobbly, very hungry and I start to sweat. My wife who is more logical than I am tells me it’s probably because I have recently been taking a lot of unaccustomed exercise helping a neighbour build a garage with very heavy concrete blocks which burn up whatever it is exercise does burn. Anyway, I bung a couple of sandwiches down me and I'm soon feeling a little better.
Could someone please share what their Hypoglycaemia events are like and offer any hints to avoid them.

Have you been testing to see what your levels actually are when you have these hypoglycemia events? It could just be that your levels have fallen fast because of your exercise and you're not actually hypo so you're just getting symptoms. If you are actually below 4 then you need to treat them, otherwise it's best not to or you'll get more of them.

I did remember to check my blood suger levels when I had the last one and it was 3.4. By the way, what do you mean, "treat them"?

Actually, if you listen to Taubes, Lustig et al, you're overweight and unenergetic because you are a diabetic (or more accurately, because you have a damaged insulin response system).

3.4 is a real hypo, you need to be careful with this, and probably talk with your care team to develop a stratergy to deal with them.

I/2 bottle normal coke (Not diet coke)
will do the trick ,will pull you around lot faster than a sandwich.

I had this when i was working and missed my Bait time , when you feel better have a small sandwich

If you keep having these you need to talk to your GP
