Wonder if Spring is in the air. Being hypoing all day yesterday and today. Been on a 5% temp reduction in basal today which has helped but not convinced yet that I need to change the basal rates permanently. Let's see what tonight and tomorrow brings! Oh joy

I had a random day like that a couple of days ago, 5 hypos in 24 hours! Nothing different to normal and then went back to normal the next day! It's such a pain when you have random days as it's hard to work out what, if anything, needs changing or if it's just a random blip!

Tell me about it!! I'm overly cautious as hypos still really scare me. So I've under bolused tonight after supper so expecting a higher reading later but with husband away with work I'd rather play it safe.

I had 3 yesterday and by the time I was going to bed my levels were 18. Something must be on the air, haven't had one for about 10 days until yesterday. They really scare me too, I have emergency kits all over the house lol

Me too. Collected my half price glucojuice from Boots today - there was 2 big heavy boxes of them!! Feel better now I have them 'in reserve' though!! To be fair, it is good stuff to come out of a hypo.

I also took advantage of the half price offer and had 10 bottles delivered today lol :) glad I'm not the only one

My basal requirements can change with the seasons, usually need less in the warmer weather and more in the cold, the difference is only a unit or two, anyway hope things settle down for you soon Riri.

Thanks Noblehead. 10.9 two and a half hours after supper so took 0.5 to bring it down a bit (pump suggested 1.3). Now at 7.3 1 hr later - glad I didn't listen to Pete the pump on this occasion!

Dont know what on earths going on. Went to bed at 8.3, after dropping to 5.2 after the 0.5 correction, which was fine last night without other half home but set my alarms to check and at 2am was at 18.4!!! Arghhh - pump suggested correction of over 3 units but I felt safer doing 2. Tested an hour later and it had already come down to under 12 and at the 2 hour mark (4am!!) it had come down to 6.5. Normally my pump suggested corrections are spot on but I would have gone low if I'd have done the >3 units. Back my pump went on to TBR of 95% and I can see another day like yesterday ahead. Knackered.com!!!!! Why oh why diabetes??? Everything seems to be broken.

As somebody said on here once, the only predictable thing about diabetes is that it will be unpredicatable.

Since I've been more controlled I've been having about 3-5 hypos a week but nothing quite on the levels that you guys seem to have them. I did have 3 in a 24 hour period last Friday/Saturday which was not good. It does totally knock your confidence.

When I was still in the honeymoon period I went 3 months without a hypo, but then I was almost always in double figures then.

Hope you have a better day today!!

Well the day is better. I've bitten the bullet and changed to another profile on my pump with all the day basal rates reduced by 0.025. Interestingly I looked at my rates last March and they were very similar amounts to the rates I've just reduced them to today. I've also adjusted my bolus to carb ratio. I'm at 5.6 right now but I have eaten a rather delicious square of rocky road a while ago so the basals may need to come down even further probably as this doesn't seem to have raised my BSs at all. I've also changed my insulin sensisitivity ratio from 3.5 to 4 as my TDD is 25 units. Let's see what the big D does with this! Feeling more relaxed now though as my hubby is home.

If it makes you feel any better, my bg levels have decided to drop fairly low overnight but increase badly from lunch to mid afternoon. Why? who knows :( baffling at times but have started to alter the basal rates. Whether its just temporary or not..... the bg levels will decide

Sorry to hear this IHS. I hope I don't jinx my forum friends!! I really think it's to do with the season change - at least I've got something to hang the blame on then!
