Hypo's not on insulin!

Can anyone help? I'm a type 2 diabetic, not on med's, just diet controlled. For some unknown reason i keep getting Hypo's (low 3's) I do watch what i eat but like most people i'm not always carefully & have let the diet slip! I'll been to see my Diabetic nurse who's had a word with my Doc'. Both are at a lost as to what is going on with my sugar levels?
My Doc' has do some test, and say I'm having insulin spikes!!
Anyone understand what going on?

When do these hypo's occur ?

There are many reasons for hypo's to occur including over exercise and not enough energy to cover it, heat and various other things.

Hi sugarless sue,
mid morning & mid afternoon.
I'm having porridge for breakfast & sandwich mid day. I started eatting a banana mid morning to stop the morning hypos but then i get one mid afternoon!

Not sure, I'm wanting for an appointment to see another Doc'.
Does sound a bit like what's going on. But so does the diabetic ones!

If I have porridge for breakfast I tend to go too low before lunchtime but if I have fruit and greek yoghurt or something like this with less carbs it seems to last longer.
Hope this helps
Angie

Let us know if it helps, we are learning all the time.
I have given up with porridge, instead I am using my jumbo flakes mixed with flaxseed, nuts + seeds as a fruit free, lower carb muesli.
Regards
Angie
