Hi, I just started pumping 5 days ago. And since starting the pump I have been hypo all the time. Sugar levels going down to 50, which is 2.7 in uk. I have been reducing basals. Started with basal total of 19.2 and am still going low with basal total now of 15.46. My total daily levimir was 27units It seems like I am needing a lot less insulin on the animas vibe pump. Is this normal?
 
Yes it's normal. As you know where you are hypo reduce the basal before that ready for tomorrow. Or set a temp basal rate so you run a bit higher until sorted.
 
Yep... I've just started too and my basal is literally a third of what it was on MDI's... It's part of the (******) process but as @CarbsRok says look for where the drops are adjust... And repeat until you get something more stable... Good luck!
