Perhaps ask him for an HbA1c, as one will be done at your pre-op (for any op), and if your score is over 7, your surgery will be deferred until it comes down.

If you have a test now, you can get some work in, if needs be.

Apologies if you have fabulous control, but I haven't seen that information anywhere.

Good luck with it all. Is this the start of several procedures, or does this complete your wish list?

As well as having a tummy tuck i am also having my boobs reduced as they are so heavy and makes my back n shoulders hurt but not having them done yet got to get over tummy tuck.

Blimey, Mr Dolphin must have been saving up his pocket money!

Interestingly 9 months ago, I had to see a breast surgeon for medical reason, but during that consultation I explained I had lost some weight, resulting in a loss of volume to my boobs and I had been toying with the idea of a little work to improve their appearance, without boosting them again.

She confirmed improving my bosom would be very simple, but that I should seriously consider my arms, if I were going to undergo the knife for cosmetic effect. Her rationale was that one we like, or relive our bosoms, we want to show them off a bit more, which many feel would include strap pier clothing and baring our arms. If our arms have any excess skin (and sadly, these days mine do), then this very quickly becomes an area we become very unhappy about. The arms are, allegedly, an even simpler fix (not by her), and have a quick recovery time, whereas other parts take a bit longer to get over.

As it transpires, I can probably have what I would have paid for on the NHS, as a consequence of the surgery I underwent 4 months ago, but having been sliced and diced once, for medical reasons, I'm thinking I'll just leave Mother Nature alone and learn to love my imperfections a bit more. Life can take some funny turns.

Good luck with it all.
