I should know better. I am an old hand at this, but I managed to forget to take any metformin yesterday. I decided I'd better check B G at bedtime, after that. I hadn't eaten many carbs, just alittle dried fruit and 3 Matzo crackers (2.7carbs each) and whatever is in the veg I used for the ratatouille I had for dinner. I was 6.8.!!!!! I must have insulin still and that's good. I'm back down to 5.2 this morning. I took a Starlix 60 as well as the Met last night. they say orals T2s can't tweak, but with a little misuse of Starlix, I can. I've read the Novartis website and I'm sure it's safe.

I think with metformin as it takes a few weeks to reach maximum effect it also takes a while to get out of your system and not be effecting things anymore.

when i was on oral meds, i had to adapt how i took my glibenclimide on what i was eating and what my blood sugar was. sometime is took it as a full dose sometimes as a split dose. there are things that can be done

when i came off metformin i was told it can take a good few days to leave your system, :D
