 Me, again! I really must put my regime into my signature but it's changing so frequently at the moment. (Diagnosed type1 7 weeks ago) taking levemir/Humalog

Can you un pick this?
23.30hrs 5.7bg. Ate 10g carbs as I was about to go to sleep. 2 units of levemir
08.00hrs 7.2bg. (waking, I have knocked off my AM levemir in the last couple of days)
12.40 4.9bg 24g of carbs (didn't take any Humalog as I was a bit low for me and my ratio is 1:20g)
14.20hrs 7.0bg. ( no food jst tested as I was driving)
1720 hrs. 4.5bg. 20g of carb and again no Humalog
18.00hrs 6.7bg 25 g of carb. Took .5 of Humalog

Is it normal to drop to the 4's given I hadn't injected any insulin (eithershort or rapid acting) from 23.30 last night until today @ 1800
I've dropped the AM levemir as I figured it was this causing my levels to drop in between meals, apparently not though.

Is it the PM dose of levemir still lowering my BG the following day?

I ask as I had a thread the other day about going to Glastonbury tomorrow and I'm keen to keep my levels up. :)

Being newly diagnosed your still in your Honeymoon Period and your body will be producing insulin from the remainder of your beta cells.......hence why your insulin requirements are extremely low.

You could try and reduce the levemir dose down to 1 unit and see if it makes any difference to your afternoon bg levels, but be aware that things can soon change so do keep monitoring your bg levels.

Enjoy Glastonbury :)

Thanks @Nobelhead, I've just given myself 1.5 tonight so l'll see where that gets me, I'll keep a close eye while I'm there. Cheers & thank you once again for your sound advice, you and this forum make things so much easier for the newly diagnosed:)

Agree with Noblehead.

Also bear in mind the warmer weather. (Not sure about your geographic location.) causing insulin sensitivity regarding your dose?
Activity is another factor too..

Enjoy Glasto!
